OpenAir Coverage Details
Telemedicine Service
Telemedicine is a remote clinical service that provides assessing, diagnosing, and monitoring of symptoms or injuries. This solution often allows patients in remote and secluded areas to receive care without having to travel to a medical clinic. HealthCare 365 services require your medical records and information so in the event of an emergency they can pull up any health complications you may have or prior health history. They will be able to guide you through the self-care process, having your information accessible. The telemedicine team will be able to assess your situation through the information you give them and determine if it is treatable on spot or if emergency evacuation is necessary.
Medical Kits
The medical kits provide the doctors with extended information on the situation such as vitals, temperature, blood pressure, heart rate and oxygen saturation. This information gives the telemedicine service more information on how to treat an emergency. There are two medical kit options. Medical Kit #1 Vitals and Medical Kit #2 OTC Medications. Any unused items in the medical kits any items may be donated to a local hospital.
Ambulance Evacuation & Emergency Medical Coverage
Time is crucial in the matter of an emergency and this service can be the difference in helping provide the treatment required to save a life. It can be tough to get emergency services out to the location in a timely matter. The OpenAir Plan offers immediate evacuation.
TuGo emergency medical coverage will take care of the emergency ambulance services as well as any medication or treatment in the event of an emergency. This can give you the peace of mind that you are covered if emergency services are needed.
OpenAir Application Process
1. Rates (PDF)
When filling out the application you will need to refer to the Rate Sheet in order to find the premiums you are eligible for. The Multi-Trip Annual Canada Plan has specific rates based on age as well as family rates. The HealthCare 365 Telemedicine Plan is an annual family rate (5 members max) with the option to add on additional members for a fee per person. There is also a full outline of what is in each med kit and first aid kit.
The application process will take you through the applicant information first, you will need to list all individuals who will require coverage. The travel dates section will ask for your effective date, expiry date and the number of days. With the Multi-Trip Annual plan, you will put down the length of trip you have determined necessary. The telemedicine is an annual renewable plan. Therefore, you will have the coverage for a full year starting at your effective date.
In the Coverage Details section, you will have the option to select the Multi-Trip Annual Canada Plan and the HealthCare 365 plan individually or you can select both and select the full Complete OpenAir Coverage. After the coverage selection you will be able to select which medical kits you would like to purchase. There is a full break down of these in the Rate Sheet. 3. Register for Telemedicine
Once the application has been sent in and approved you will be able to register your medical information on the HealthCare 365 portal. Be sure to add the information for all members that have applied for coverage. HealthCare 365 prides themselves on following up with their clients after a medical emergency and will be able to contact you through your information on the portal.
